Here are the requirements for
getting an instructor rating, there are two ways to do it, either
through an Instructor course or self-applying, as you can see below
there are more requirements than just doing the course:
Upon successfully completing the PADI Tec Deep Instructor training course, before sending your application to PADI, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Be a renewed PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer or PADI Instructor with a higher rating.
2. Be a PADI Enriched Air Instructor.
3. Be a PADI Deep Diver Specialty Instructor.
4. Be certified as a PADI Tec 50 diver, or have a qualifying certification from another training organization. For the purposes of this level, a qualifying certification is certification for technical deep diving using air, enriched air and pure oxygen for decompression dives to at least 50 metres/ 165 feet. The PADI Course Director conducting the Tec Deep Instructor training course
may include the Tec 50 diver level training and certification in the program, issuing the certification
when you successfully complete the PADI Tec Deep Instructor training course.
5. Have assisted with at least one PADI Tec 50 course or one Tec 45 course. If you have a qualifying instructor certification from another training organization,having taught or assisted with one course that qualifies
as PADI Tec 45 and/or Tec 50 courses may meet this requirement, as stipulated on the Tec Deep Instructor
Application. Completing the PADI Tec Deep Instructor training course
credits as having assisted a Tec 50 diver course. Other types of technical training (instructor level or assisting) may meet these requirements.
6. Have a minimum of 270 dives logged, with at least 25 stage decompression dives that had a maximum depth deeper than 40 metres/130 feet.
7. Have certified a total of ten or more PADI Deep Divers and/or PADI Enriched Air Divers. Any combination that totals ten is
acceptable.
8. Have successfully completed the Tec Deep Instructor Standards Exam and Tec Deep Instructor Theory and Practical Application Exam.
9. Meet the peer review waterskill requirements listed on the PADI Tec Deep Instructor Application through the attesting signature of a PADI Tec Deep Instructor, or a PADI Instructor with a qualifying rating from another training organization.
OR
Requirements to Qualify as a Tec Deep Instructor by Applying Directly to Your PADI Office To apply directly to your PADI Office for certification as a PADI Tec Deep Instructor, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Be a renewed PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer or PADI Instructor with a higher rating.
2. Be a PADI Enriched Air Instructor.
3. Be a PADI Deep Diver Specialty Instructor.
4. Be certified as a PADI Tec 50 diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organization. For the purposes of this level, a qualifying certification is certification for technical deep diving using air, enriched air and pure oxygen for decompression dives to at least 50 metres/ 165 feet.
5. Have assisted with at least two PADI Tec 50 courses or one Tec 45 course and one Tec 50 course. If you have a qualifying instructor certification from another training organization as an instructor, having taught or assisted with two courses that qualify as meeting the requirements of the PADI Tec 45 and Tec 50 courses may meet this requirement, as stipulated on the Tec Deep Instructor
Application. Other types of technical training (instructor level or assisting) may meet these requirements.
6. Have a minimum of 270 dives logged, with at least 25 stage decompression dives that had a

The main part of
Tec Deep diving is making sure you calculate your gas correctly and you stick to your plan and monitor not just yourself but the other members of the group you are diving with, the group dives as a single unit, with
a single (or at least workable) goals, unlike recreational stuff where you can change things as you go.
